Alissa Drake

Alissa Kristine Drake, 21, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a 2017 graduate of West Genesee High School and was currently attending OCC. Alissa enjoyed hiking, taking long walks, waterfalls, and the beach. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her daughter, Melody. She was a good and giving friend who loved to help others.

Alissa was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Brian Baker.

Surviving, in addition to her daughter, Melody Drake, are her father, Ryan Drake; mother, Stephanie Sherman; brother, Zadin Sherman; sister, Kayla Latone; paternal grandmother, Pamela Baker; paternal grandfather, Roderick Drake; maternal grandfather, Thomas (Vicki) Whitman; maternal grandmother, Marlene Ford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, August 26 from 10 a.m. to noon at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St. Camillus, with a service to follow at noon.
