Allena E. Narvey

Allena Emma Narvey, 88, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, on Friday, March 21, 1924, she was the daughter of Samuel Crawford and Rhoda (Leach) Crawford. After spending her early years in Reynoldsville, she moved to Camillus in 1957. Allena worked as a waitress and also with GTE Sylvania and East Hill Elementary School. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and enjoyed needlework and crocheting. Allena was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, John Joseph Narvey, on February 21, 2000. Surviving are her daughters, Beverly Narvey of Baldwinsville and Debra Smith of Cicero; son, Dennis of Syracuse; sister, Betty Cramer of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania; brother, Glenn Crawford of Altoona, Pennsylvania; granddaughters, Alicia Smith and Erica Loucks; and great-grandson, Teagan Loucks. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, January 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 7 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Allena will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Camillus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church, 5600 West Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031.
