Arlene Anne Ball

October 9, 1931 — May 19, 2022

Arlene Anne Ball, 90, of Camillus, passed away Thursday at The Reserve at Towne Lake in Georgia. Born and raised in Solvay, she graduated from Solvay High School and later moved to Camillus. An active communicant of Holy Family Church, Arlene was a CCD teacher and leader of R.C.I.A. for many years, a Eucharistic minister, member of the Altar & Rosary Society and Ladies’ Adoration Society. She was employed by New Process Gear Corp. for several years. Arlene enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Arlene was predeceased in 2021 by her husband of 62 years, Chauncey; parents, Stanley and Mary; grandson, Michael Ball; and sisters, Jane MacDowell and Marion Bouvier.

Surviving are her children, Dr. David (Liz) Ball of Amherst and Elizabeth (Kevin) Herron of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Ryan (Michelle), Jason, Mark and Justin Herron and Kaitlin and Kathryn Ball.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family Church. Arlene will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219.
