Barbara J. Kupiec

Barbara J. Kupiec, 87, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018. She was born on February 5, 1931, the only child of the late Richard C. and Theresa M. Saunders. Barbara graduated from East High School in Auburn and attended Le Moyne College. She married the love of her life, John. J. Kupiec, on July 14, 1956. Together they enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Barbara and her husband were active participants of Holy Family Church where she sang in the choir. Barbara had a loving and generous heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her best friend, Peggy Brassie, and was never without a smile on her face.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents; and her beloved son, John J. Kupiec Jr.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband, John; daughters, Theresa A. Bargabos (Jeffrey) of Oneida and Julie A. Cerio (Thomas) of Syracuse; and grandchildren, Devon and Dylan Howard and Tommy, Christina, Jonathan and Joey Cerio. Her grandchildren kept a sparkle in her eye and a spring in her step.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, February 25 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 26 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Barbara will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Auburn.
