Brett Michael Colvin

August 23, 1995 — July 28, 2020

Brett Michael Colvin, 24, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 due to injuries sustained in a swimming accident. He was a lifetime resident of the Camillus area. A graduate of West Genesee High School, Brett attended Alfred University and OCC. He was employed as a supervisor at Harbor Freight and previously worked at Costco. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. Brett was an accomplished athlete in high school and recently developed a newfound passion for golf. He would often say “next shot, best shot” displaying his positive attitude towards the game. He loved spending time with his family. Brett was kindhearted and a loyal, caring friend to many.

Brett was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Virginia Herrmann; paternal grandfather, Howard Colvin; and beloved golden retriever, Cooper.

Surviving are his parents, Jeff and Debbie of Camillus; brother, Mitchell of Camillus; paternal grandmother, Hope of Auburn; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, August 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. We will be following the NYS guidelines regarding capacity and social distancing. Face coverings are required.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, August 4 at 11 a.m. in the church. Private burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles.
