Brian Daniel Kavney

Brian Daniel Kavney, 74, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, June 15 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Marcellus High School and a Marine Corps Veteran. Brian, known for his jovial laugh and wonderful smile, was an employee of Allied Chemical for 10 years, then worked as a service manager and later owned Remtico Office Machines for 25 years. He enjoyed building hotrods, camping at Bass Lake, traveling to Coco Beach, FL and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Brian was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Cutler) Kavney, in 2008.

Surviving are his companion, Helen Capalario; son, Mark (Kristy) Kavney; brothers, James (Barbara) Kavney and Gary (Judy) Kavney; along with many nieces and nephews and extended Cutler family.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, July 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
