David L. Wilson Sr.

November 19, 1945 — May 13, 2010

David L. Wilson Sr., 64, of Westvale, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Community General Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Monday, November 19, 1945, he was the son of Wendell Wilson and Wanda Wojtaszek Wilson. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of West Genesee High School and Syracuse University. David retired in 2005 from NetTest in Utica and previously was employed with GE and Lockheed Martin. His interests included playing cards, reading and politics. David also enjoyed fishing and physical exercise. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Bjork Ohlhorst of Madison, Connecticut; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Michele Wilson Jr. of Baldwinsville, and Scott and Laura Wilson of Glen Cove; grandchildren, Tyler and Kristiane; sisters, Dorothy Sutton and Loraine Currier; brothers, Joe and David Volcko; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Monday, May 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 18 at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Misciagna officiating. David will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Boys and Girls Club of Syracuse, 2100 E. Fayette St., Syracuse, NY 13224.
