Dennis Edward Martin

Dennis E. Martin, 56, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at Upstate University Hospital at Community General. He was a graduate of Syracuse University, avid chess player and history buff, especially the Civil War era. Dennis was predeceased by his father, Richard W. Martin, in 1998. Surviving are his mother, Barbara J. (Franklin) Martin of Syracuse; sister, Sherry (Mark) Martin Russell of Manlius; brothers, Michael (Melanie) of Rochester, Stephen of Syracuse and R. Darryl (Michelle) of Syracuse; and nieces and nephews, Jacqueline, Morgan, Sarah, Miranda, Andrew, Bailey and Mia. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W.
