Dennis Patrick Daley

February 21, 1991 — October 15, 2014

Dennis Patrick Daley, 23, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at University Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he was a 2009 graduate of West Genesee High School and member of the National Honor Society. He loved spending time with his family and going to concerts with his dad. He also loved animals, including rescues of all kinds. He was especially drawn to cats and they to him. Dennis had a quick-wit with a sharp tongue. He was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, photography and photo manipulation. He loved music. The Clash and The Beatles were among his favorite bands. He played guitar, was starting to learn the drums and spent much of his time with his girlfriend, Samantha Schoeffter. Dennis was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Mary T. Grobsmith and maternal great-grandmother, Mary E. Grobsmith. Surviving are his parents, Neil and Adrianne; brother, Lucas (Amanda) Daley, all of Camillus; maternal grandfather, Richard Grobsmith of Camillus; paternal grandparents, Neil Louis (Peggy Sue) Daley of Warners; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Monday, October 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Tuesday, October 21 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dennis' name to an animal rescue charity of one's choice.
