Diane Kane

Diane Kane, 79, of Camillus, passed away Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of Central High School. Diane was an activities director for Brookdale Bellevue for more than 10 years and previously worked at Papa Chubb’s Pizza & Restaurant in Camillus. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Syracuse. Diane enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Diane was predeceased by her parents, Lyman and Lucille Young.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Robert of Syracuse; daughter, Suzanne (Michael) Wheeler of Clay; son, Mark (Jennifer) of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Lauren, Alexandra, Jordan, Jacob, and Mikaela; brother, Craig (Ruth) Young of Bradenton, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, December 22 from 11 a.m. to noon at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 873 Dewitt St, Syracuse, NY 13203.

A funeral service will follow at noon at the church. Diane will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Baldwinsville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church.
