Donald M. Rake

Donald M. Rake, 88, of Camillus, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 at The Centers at St. Camillus. Born and raised in Rochester, he moved to the Syracuse area in 1957. Donald was an Army veteran and an agent with Nationwide Insurance Co. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. He enjoyed spending summers with his family at Hinckley Reservoir and winters skiing at Labrador Mountain.

Surviving are his wife, the former Susan Smith; daughter, Tracy (Tim) Loveland; sons, Gary (Kathy) Rake, James (Noreen) Rake and Stephen (Mary) Rake; sister, Mary Jo (Joe) Fortner; grandchildren, Timothy (Suzanne), Sarah (Matt) Britton, Rebecca (Dan) Redmond, Kelley (Jon) Galeotti, Megan and Kara; and great-grandchildren, Joseph, Nicholas, James, Emma and Grace.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, September 1 from 11 a.m. to noon at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse.

A funeral Mass will follow at noon in church. Burial will be private in Fairchild Cemetery, Remsen.
