Donna (Uhl) Brown

Donna (Uhl) Brown, 69, of Fairmount, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Crouse Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Friday, July 5, 1940, she was the daughter of Edward Joseph Uhl and Calista Ruth Peck Uhl. She lived in Fairmount since September 1971. Donna was employed by Niagara Mohawk for 14 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church where she also taught religious education for 21 years. She sang for many years with the USO and various hospitals. Donna was predeceased by her brothers, Eric and Donald Uhl. Surviving are her husband of 39 years, William J. Brown; cousins, Joyce Gianetto of Oswego and Barbara Myers of Liverpool; several nieces and nephews, including Cindy Tatum of Alabama. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the rosary at 6:30 p.m. Donna will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Humane Association of CNY Inc., 4915 1/2 W. Taft Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088.
