Dorothy Jane Nolan

Dorothy Jane Nolan, 95, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Corning. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and served in World War II as an Army nurse.

Dorothy retired as supervising nurse of the H3 Women's Building at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of Friends of Maxwell Library. She also loved quilting, sewing and gardening.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 2013; and brother, Robert Dwyer.

Surviving are her daughter, Linda (Stanley) Parzych of Corning; sons, Richard (Linda) of Liverpool and R. Patrick (Annabelle) of Woodland Hills, CA; grandchildren, Meghan (Patrick) Daly, Christopher (Ellen) Nolan, Andrew Parzych, and Michael (Alisha) Parzych; great-grandchildren, Colton, Lucas, Emerson and Landon; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday, June 2 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church. Dorothy will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Food Pantry, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031.
