Edward W. Atty

Edward W. Atty, of Knightdale, North Carolina, was born on April 9, 1921 in Johnstown, NY. He was the son of Edward J. Atty and Eula (Beck) Atty and was a graduate of Johnstown High School.
Edward served in the US Army as a telecommunication instructor at Camp Crowder in Missouri from 1943 to 1946. He worked for AT&T as a supervisor for 42 years in Albany, Utica, and Syracuse, NY, before retiring in 1942.
Edward married Marjorie M. (Astle) Atty, whom he worked with at AT&T. Marjorie also worked as a bookkeeper at the Camp Crowder Laundry. Together they shared 71 wonderful years.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Douglas Atty, and his loving wife, Marjorie.
Graveside services will be Thursday, March 30 at 11a.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY.
