Elizabeth Ann Jones

December 1, 1940 — December 10, 2016

Elizabeth Ann Jones, 76, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, December 10 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in the Bronx, she grew up in Canajoharie until moving to Syracuse in 1963. She was a 1959 graduate of Canajoharie High School and a 1963 graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy. Elizabeth also received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Illinois. She was a member of the Men's and Women's Garden Club of Syracuse and Erie Canal Park in Camillus. She was an avid gardener and also enjoyed cooking, reading and traveling.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, John and Antoinette Aron; husband, George; sisters Stella G. Slimack and Jean M. Aron.

Surviving are her brothers, John (Mary) Aron Jr. of Sloansville and Ted (Terri) Aron of Cary, NC; nephews, Todd Aron, A.J. and Richard Slimack, Nicholas and Kyle Aron and John Aron III; stepsons, Mike (Kate) Jones of Wilmington, NC and Gary (Sandy) Jones and Bruce (Nancy) Jones, both of Orlando, FL.

Graveside services will be Saturday, April 15 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to, Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
