Elizabeth (Kane) Tobin

Elizabeth “Betty” (Kane) Tobin, 97, of Westvale, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at home. Born in Syracuse, she lived in Westvale since 1988. Betty was a Navy veteran of WWII. She earned her bachelor's degree in home economics from Syracuse University and lived in New City for 29 years while working for the Clarkstown Central School District, retiring in 1984. Betty was a communicant of St. Charles~St. Ann's Parish. She enjoyed spending time with family.

Betty was predeceased by her husband, Tobe, in 1987; and brother, William Kane.

Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Millar of Toronto, ON; sons, Jeffrey of Pelham, NH and Chris of Syracuse; brother, Robert Kane of Camillus; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 3 at 9 a.m. in St. Charles~St. Ann's Parish, 4461 Onondaga Rd., Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
