Irene M. Eallonardo DeRito

Irene M. Eallonardo DeRito, 83, of Camillus, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Community-General Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1924, she was the daughter of Anthony Eallonardo and Irene Alvino Eallonardo. She was a longtime resident of Camillus. Irene attended Camillus High School. Her husband, John W. DeRito, died in 1978 and son, John A. DeRito, who was killed by a drunken driver, died in 1964. Surviving are her sons, Nicholas J. DeRito of Camillus and Michael J. DeRito of Fayetteville; sister, Rita Ray of Camillus and many nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Irene's family would like to thank the staff on Floor 6N at Van Duyn for their care and consideration of her.
