James T. Mento

James T. Mento, 70, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at home. Born in Syracuse on Tuesday, September 8, 1942, he was the son of Joseph Mento and Frances Veronica Pigula Mento Fatcheric. A lifetime resident of the Camillus area, he was a graduate of West Genesee High School and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Jim was employed 30 years by Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #58. He enjoyed gardening and spending time under the hood of a car. Surviving are his children, Jody, Jimmy, Jennifer, Rebecca and Joseph; and two grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, December 1 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at noon at the funeral home. Jim will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of CNY, 731 James St., Suite 200, Syracuse, NY 13203.
