Jane A. Tynan

Jane Ann Tynan, 87, of Westvale, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Tuesday, April 1, 1919, she was the daughter of William Francis Christian and Florence Agnes Spencer. She grew up in Tipperary Hill and lived in Westvale since 1950. A graduate of St. Patrick's High School and communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Jane was formerly employed in revenue accounting at the NY Telephone Co. for several years. She was a devoted mother and homemaker, who enjoyed music, poetry and playing the piano. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. Tynan, Sr., daughter, Jane Ellen Tynan, parents, William F. and Florence Christian, and sister, Carol C. Harnden. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Daniel R. and Lori Tynan, Jr. of Lexington, Kentucky and Mark C. and Carol Tynan of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Kathleen A. Tynan of Camillus; sister and brother-in-law June C. and Joseph Sutter of Westvale and brother, William A. Christian of Tuxedo Park; eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at 8:45 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2006 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church where Rev. Peter Reddick will celebrate a funeral Mass. Friends may call Sunday, May 7, 2006 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Contributions may be made to Van Duyn Home & Hospital, 5075 West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215 or to the Food Bank of Central New York, 6970 Schuyler Rd., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
