Jane D. Saya

Jane D. Saya, 85, of Howlett Hill, died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Birchwood Health Care Center. Born in Syracuse on Sunday, February 20, 1921, she was the daughter of Archibald Beare and Loretta Anderson. Jane was a lifetime resident of Beef Street of Howlett Hill and graduated from Marcellus High School in 1939. Through the years, Jane enjoyed bowling, gardening and spending time with her family. Her apple pies were the best! She was also a former Cub Scout leader and played with the Syracuse Industrial Softball League. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Stanley F. Saya; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and John Parker of Liverpool; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Nancy Saya of Manlius and Stanley and Lola Saya of Wappingers Falls; brother, Robert Beare of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Beth Anne Burlingame of Seattle, Washington, Kathryn Saya of Manlius, Scott and Christopher Saya both of Wappingers Falls, Mark Burlingame of Poughkeepsie and Michael Saya of Manlius. Services will be held noon Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. Dr. N. Scott Cupp officiating. Friends may call preceding the service from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
