Jane E. Bachar

Jane E. Bachar, 87, of Camillus, passed away Thursday,  November 12, 2015 at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua.  Born in Utica and raised in Marcellus, she lived most of her life in Camillus.  She graduated from Powelson Business Institute and was employed for many years as a legal secretary. Jane was a charter member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Camillus.  An avid quilter, she was a member of the Thumbstall Quilt Guild.  She loved golf, boating and spending time with family and friends. Jane was predeceased by her husband, William, in 2010. Surviving are her daughters, Linda (Thomas) Mahan of Syracuse and Barbara (Fred) Risser of Canandaigua; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Windsor of Oswego, Emily Risser of Philadelphia, PA, Katherine Mahan of Syracuse, and Alison Risser of Canandaigua; great-grandson, Ian Windsor; and three nieces. Services will be private.  Jane will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Finger Lakes Community College Student Emergency Fund, c/o FLCC Foundation, 3325 Marvin Sands Dr., Canandaigua, NY  14424.
