Jane M. Myers

Jane M. Myers, 86, formerly of Fairmount, died Monday, April 24, 2006 at Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville. Born in Syracuse on June 14, 1919. she was the daughter of Thomas G. Funson, Sr. and Bridgett Ellen Youker. Jane was a graduate of Vocational High School. She lived in Fairmount from 1965 until 2000 and enjoyed her summer residence at Black Lake in Hammond from 1974 until 2000. Jane was employed by American Optical, retiring in 1981. She was also a former dental assistant with Dr. McCormick and was previously employed by Trident Printing. A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Camillus, she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She was also a volunteer for 10 years at West Genesee Middle School Library. She enjoyed arts and crafts. Jane's husband, William, died Feb. 24, 1999. Surviving are her daughters, Kathleen A. Johnson of Phoenix and Cynthia E. Urbanik of Knoxville, Tennessee; adopted daughter, Bettie Precourt of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Sean and Heather Johnson and Michael and Steven Urbanik; four adopted grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Natasha and Steven Urbanik, Jr.; six adopted great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2006 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10:30 a.m. in St, Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Thursday, April 27, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Contributions may be made to Iroquois Nursing Home, Second Floor, 4600 Southwood Heights Dr., Jamesville, NY 13078.
