Janet A. Carr

Janet A. Carr, 67, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at home surrounded by her family after a 13-year battle with breast cancer. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was a 1968 graduate of Bishop Ludden. Janet enjoyed knitting and traveling to Niagara Falls and Ocean City, MD. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, Gerald.

Surviving are her daughter, Lisa (Matt) Mahoney of Camillus; son, Gerald of Geddes; grandchildren, Emily and Brian Mahoney; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, July 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 11 at 10 a.m. in St. Charles~St. Ann's Parish, 4461 Onondaga Blvd., Syracuse. Janet will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

The family would like to thank Hospice and the nursing staff, especially Wanda, Tammy and John for their loving care during Mom's final days.
