Jean B. (Orbino) Barnes

Jean B. (Orbino) Barnes, 75, of Groveland, FL, formerly of Solvay and Camillus, passed away Wednesday at home. A 1964 graduate of Solvay High School and CCBI in 1965, she was a member of the Tyrol Club of Solvay. Jean worked at Allied Chemical and Syracuse University, before retiring from the Visiting Nurse Association of CNY. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and had been to over 30 destinations in the Caribbean. Jean loved spending time with her family and friends. Above all, Jean was loved by her friends, fellow employees, relatives, and anyone else that she was in contact with.

Jean was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Alice (Santorum) Orbino; sister, Patricia (Orbino) Olgeaty, and brothers-in-law, John Olgeaty and Thomas Barnes.

Surviving are her husband, John “Jack” Barnes Jr. of 54 years; son, John F. Barnes III of Bridgeport; daughter, Jennifer Barnes of NYC; brother, David (Carol) Orbino of Lakeland; sister-in-law, Elaine Barnes of Borodino; brother-in-law, Michael (Maritza) Barnes of Marcellus, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
