Jeanne H. Slocombe

Jeanne H. Slocombe, 81, of Camillus, passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at home. Born in Syracuse on Saturday, November 3, 1928, she was the daughter of Arthur Francis Hillebrand and Mae Gertrude Henderson Hillebrand. She resided in Syracuse until moving to Camillus in 1984. Formerly employed by AT&T, Jeanne was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Fred "Bud" Slocombe, son, Frederick "Rick" Slocombe, daughter, Sherry Frass, sisters, Peg Stone and Betty Sweeney, and brother, Robert F. Hillebrand. Surviving are her son, Robert F. Slocombe of Camillus; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, October 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 19 in Holy Family Church. Jeanne will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
