Jennie Marie Bruska

Jennie Marie Bruska, 86, of Warners, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at her winter home in Santa Monica, California, surrounded by her family and friends. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she moved to Syracuse in 1958. A former communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Jennie was a member of its Altar Rosary Society and Legion of Mary. She was also a communicant of Our Lady of Peace. Jennie enjoyed gardening, canning, reading, doing puzzles and playing cards with friends. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother of three.

Jennie was predeceased by her son, John.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Arthur; daughter, Susan (David) of Bellevue, WA; son, Michael (Susan) of Lyncourt; grandchildren, Jonathan, Robert, Joshua and James; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, January 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 3 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church, 203 Halcomb St., Syracuse. Jennie will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
