Judy Mayer Barry

Judy Mayer Barry, 85, of Camillus, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at home. Born in Syracuse on Sunday, August 12, 1923, she was the daughter of John Daniel Mayer and Julia Visneau Mayer. She moved to Camillus in 1955. Judy was employed with The Cherry House in the village of Camillus. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and St. Joseph's Church. She enjoyed gardening. Judy's husband, Vincent Thomas Barry, died July 8, 2004. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Maj. John Rusty (Kathy), USAF ret., of Huntington Beach, California; daughter, and son-in-law, Judy and Kevin Rech of Camillus; grandchildren, Lt. Col. Stephen Barry USAF, Julie Siler, Pamela Byrne, Kevin and Nathan Rech; and seven great-grandchildren. We appreciate all the love and special care given to Judy during her illness. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2008 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
