Julianne (Hopstein) Hundshamer

Julianne (Hopstein) Hundshamer, 90, formerly of Syracuse, passed away on Christmas Day. Born in Syracuse on April 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude Hopstein and was a graduate of St. Anthony of Padua High School. She became the wife of the late Francis Xavier Hundshamer on May 15, 1948. Julianne's relocation to California in 1959 never stopped her from reminiscing about "home" in Syracuse.
Julianne was predeceased by seven sisters; and two brothers.
Surviving are her children, Thomas Hundshamer, Patricia Hundshamer-Layman, Lenny Hundshamer and James Hundshamer; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Carlsbad, CA with burial following in Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, CA.
