Kathleen A. Blaney

Kathleen A. Blaney, 48, of Syracuse, died March 2, 2007 at home. Born inSyracuse on Sunday, December 21, 1958, she lived in Syracuse for 17 years until moving to Spokane, Washington. Kathleen returned to Syracuse in 1995. She was a graduate of West Genesee High School and received a bachelor's degree in social work from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington and a master of education degree from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. Kathleen was a social worker and held various social work positions with local agencies and most recently at Iroquois Nursing Home. She enjoyed her pets. Surviving are her brother, sister-in-law and nephew, Anthony, Mary Anne and Nicholas Blaney, Jr., all of Liverpool. She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony (December 27, 1987) and Janet Blaney (November 21, 1997). Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Friends may call Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
