Mary Lambert

Mary Lambert, 87, of Fairmount, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at home.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed.  She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and graduate of North High School. For many years, Mary worked at Ponto Brothers, her family's stand at the Regional Market.  She was a communicant of Holy Family Church, enjoyed gardening and was a longtime member of the Fairmount Garden Club. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Edwin, in 2010; granddaughter, Lisa Marie; five brothers; and two sisters.   Surviving are her daughters, Joanne (Harland) Cunningham of Fairmount and Catherine D'Agostino of Sarasota, FL; sons, Russell Lambert of Fairmount and Robert Lambert of Herkimer; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, January 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.   Services will be Thursday, January 29 at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home and 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Mary will be laid to rest next to her loving husband in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
