Mary M. Backus, 49, of Kirkville, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of West Genesee High School. Mary loved doing crafts and spending time with her dogs and family.
Mary was predeceased by her parents and grandparents.
Surviving are her husband of 23 years, Lawrence; daughter, Emily (Christian) Cammarono of South Carolina; son, Dylan Backus of Kirkville; sister, Amy (Chris) Sponable of Tennessee; brother, James (Misty) Wavercak Jr. of Camillus; a grandchild on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, December 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. There will be no services.
