Mary R. Buonvecchio

Mary R. Buonvecchio, 90, formerly of Elbridge and Camillus, died Thursday, November 26, 2005 at the home of her daughter in Bow, New Hampshire. Born in Campobasso, Italy on October 27, 1915, Mary was the daughter of Eustachio and Luisa Simonelli. She lived on Fikes Rd., Elbridge for 32 years and in Camillus for 41 years until moving to Bow six years ago. Mary and her late husband, Fred, owned the Feed Bag Restaurant in Camillus for 21 years. She also was formerly employed by Camillus Cutlery, Witherill's and the Halfway Restaurant in Elbridge. She was a communicant of St. Josephs Church, member of the choir for more than 17 years and member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Mary was also a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Concord and member of its Forever Young Club. She was a member of the Bow Young at Heart Club. Mary was the loving mother of seven children. Special interests of Mary included cooking, sewing, crafts and gardening. Surviving are her daughters, Rosemarie Bonk and husband Dr. Johan Bonk of Hampstead, North Carolina, Louise Boots of Tamarac, Florida, Jean Lauricella and husband Edward of Camillus and Catherine Legere and husband Donald of Bow, New Hampshire; sons, Edward and wife Julie Richard of Goodyear, Arizona, Richard and wife Deborah of East Syracuse, and Alfred, Jr. and wife Maryann of Boca Raton, Florida; sisters, Anne Speach of Constantia, Ella Tambroni of Camillus and Theresa Losito of Florida; brother, Antonio Simonelli of Camillus; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Alfred, in 1999 and her sister, Connie Mazur in 2002. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2005 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Thursday, December 1, 2005 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Contributions may be made to the Hospice at Concord Regional Visiting Nurses Association, P.O. Box 1797, Concord, NH 03302, to St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031 or to St. John the Evangelist Church, 72 S. Main St., Concord, NH 03301.
