Mary T. Corwin, 91, died peacefully with her daughters by her side on November 26, 2017. Mary Theresa Brooks was born on April 27, 1926 in Huntington, NY where she was raised and lived until 1976. Mary resided in Bridgeport and Kirkville before moving to Buckley Landing Assisted Living, North Syracuse, in 2015.
Mary was predeceased by her first husband, William F. Dunn, and second husband, Chester Corwin.
Surviving are her sister, Margaret Price; brother, John (Corinne) Brooks; son, Bill Dunn (Christine Trzcinski); daughters, Mary Dunn (Richard Schultz) and Kathy Dunn; stepdaughter, Lori (John) Reiszl; grandchildren, Jesse Dunn, Brigit Burt and Matthew (Beth) Dunn; and great-grandchildren, Logan Rood and Rowan Burt.
The family has fulfilled Mary’s longtime wish to donate her body to science through SUNY Upstate Medical University.
A family gathering to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at a later date.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital where she was well cared for on many occasions at foundation.sjhsyr.org/give.
