Michael C. Fialkovic

April 19, 1966 — December 28, 2019

Michael C. Fialkovic, 53, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly. Born in Syracuse, he was a 1984 Solvay High School graduate and attended Onondaga Community College. Michael worked the last 12 years as a former chef and current server at Francesca’s Cucina. For many years, he performed in the band Tryx as the bass guitarist. Michael enjoyed traveling, landscaping, music, his pets and making people laugh. Most of all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Sandra Fialkovic.

Surviving are his wife and best friend, Kathleen (Bigsby) Fialkovic; daughter, Stephanie Brookshire; beloved grandson, Kylyn; sister, Cynthia (Andrew) Ross; and dearest nieces, Andrea, Alyssa and Victoria Ross.

Calling hours will be Thursday, January 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genessee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be Friday, January 3 at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Marianne Cope Parish: St. Cecilia’s Church, Solvay. Michael will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wanderers' Rest, 7138 Sutherland Dr., P.O. Box 535, Canastota, NY 13032.
