Michael Shawn Carter

Michael Shawn Carter, 49, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at home. Born in Syracuse on Sunday, June 16, 1963, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Michael was a graduate of West Genesee High School. He was formerly employed by Lockheed Martin and Carey International. He was also a former communicant of St. Joseph's Church and an avid fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Donna Dennington; nine grandchildren; brother, Richard Carter of LaFayette; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Monday, November 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Michael will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery.
