Morton T. Lavigne

Morton T. Lavigne, 90, of Lakeland, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. Born in Cadyville, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and an Army veteran of WW II. Morton worked for IBEW Electrical Union #43 for over 20 years and retired from Chrysler Corp. He enjoyed bird watching and fishing but most of all loved spending time with his family. Morton was predeceased by his wife, Irene this past May; brother, Leon Lavigne; and sister, Mildred Randlett. Surviving are his daughters, Kathleen (William) Sanderson of Lakeland and Sandra (Mark) Hanson of Jamestown; son, Calvin (Robin) Lavigne of Ontario, Ohio; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be private and burial will be private in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Morton's name to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 5005 Campuswood Dr., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
