Nancy (Krebser) Evans

October 22, 1924 — January 12, 2018

Nancy (Krebser) Evans, 93, of Camillus, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at The Centers at St. Camillus. Born and raised in Utica, she moved to the Camillus area in 1966. Nancy graduated from New Hartford High School in 1942 and attended Edgewood Park Junior College in Briarcliff Manor. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Nancy enjoyed knitting, crocheting and golfing, but most of all, loved spending time with her family.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, Norbert, in 2003; and sisters, Betty Horth, Charlotte Heintz and Doris Culkin.

Surviving are her daughters, Cherie (Bill) McIncrow of Camillus and Jamie (Cort) Chappell of Portsmouth, RI; sons, J. Reid (Patsy) of Camillus and Dean (Donna) of Batesburg, SC; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, January 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 17 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Nancy will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Church or their food pantry, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219.
