Nellie T. 'Pat' Morris Mc Intyre

December 25, 1935 — March 9, 2009

Nellie T. “Pat” Morris Mc Intyre, 73, of Camillus, passed away Monday, March 9, 2009 at Francis House and is now home with the Lord God who directed her wonderful life. Although a non-smoker, she waged a spirited and spiritual battle with lung cancer. Born in Scott, NY on Christmas Day 1935 to Mary Ellen O’Hara of County Mayo, Ireland and Edward D. Morris of Glen Haven, she grew up in Cortland and moved to Camillus in 1964. Pat graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1954 and CCBI in 1955. She was a secretary at Niagara Mohawk and also worked for the West Genesee School District. She retired as a secretary from the Town of Camillus Code Enforcement Office. She was also formerly employed by, Hiscock & Barclay Law Firm. A communicant of Holy Family Church, Pat served as lector and Eucharistic minister. She was a member of St. Joseph's and Holy Family’s Altar & Rosary Societies and their choirs. She was secretary of the Young Republican’s Club and member of St. Mary's Alumni Association, Spirit of Syracuse Chorus, Camillus Bi-centennial Chorus and Chordettes. Pat was predeceased by baby girl, Mary Ellen Mc Intyre, in 1969. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, William F. McIntyre; daughters and son-in-law, Anne M. Mc Intyre of Camillus and Kristin T. and Steve Wilson of Brewerton; sons, Frank T. Mc Intyre of Watertown and Timothy J. McIntyre of Camillus; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Lee Reitano and Helen Ann Lynch, both of Syracuse, Frances and Tony Petrella, Elizabeth and Fritz Mullen, Kathleen Morris and Genevieve and Anthony Ferro, all of Cortland; grandchildren, Amber Fenner, Clairrissa Mc Intyre and Cole Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2009 in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Pat will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
