Norma A. (Sherman) Harwzinske

Norma A. (Sherman) Harwzinske, 93, of Cortland, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 at University Hospital. Born in Scranton, PA, she graduated from West Scranton High School and moved to Syracuse in 1953. Norma was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and on the board for missions. She was a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed reading the Bible. Above all, Norma loved spending time with family and friends.

Norma was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, in 2008; three sisters; and three brothers.

Surviving are her sons, Stanley (Cindy) of Cortland and Richard of Syracuse; sister, Ruth Ferraro of Scranton, PA; granddaughters, Tracey Hall of Gilbertsville and Christine Dilley of Brooklyn; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held Saturday, May 25 at the funeral home. Norma will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
