Olga Petrovets, 73, of Solvay, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at home. Born in Perebrody, Ukraine on Sunday, July 28, 1935, she was the daughter of Ivan and Agafia Evsovich. She moved to the United States in 1989 and lived in Solvay since 1997. Olga was a member of the First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, her vegetable garden and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her grandson, Alex Petrovets, in 2004. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Michail; daughters, Nina (Ivan) of Ukraine, Natasha (Rod) Pate of Beaver Falls, Katie (Sergey) Vashchishin of Syracuse and Maria (Luybomir) Romanchuk of Syracuse; sons, Vasily (Tanya) of Solvay, Petro (Oksana), Pavlo and Grigory, all of Syracuse, and John (Natasha) of Solvay; sister, Anna of Ukraine; 19 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009 and 10 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Olga will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
