Patricia A. Ennis

Patricia A. Ennis, 78, of Fairmount, died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse on Wednesday, September 24, 1930, she was the daughter of Harold Shallenberger and Eva Louise Scanlon Shallenberger. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she graduated from St. Lucy’s Academy. Patricia was employed with NY Telephone Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1987. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of the NY Telephone Pioneers. A former avid golfer, she also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1986; and son-in-law, David Maley, in 1991. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, William and Kathleen Ennis of Saratoga Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Joseph Dunn of Hastings, Catherine and Michael Kessler of Camillus, and Susan Kearns, Bridget and Tony Rotella, and Patricia Bellotti, all of Syracuse; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Richard Schill of Syracuse; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Monday, January 12, 2009 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus.
