Patricia A. Schanzle

February 12, 1937 — September 23, 2011

Patricia A. Schanzle, 74, of Camillus, passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Syracuse on Friday, February 12, 1937, she was the daughter of Arthur Legg and Agnes Haite Legg. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of Camillus High School. Pat was formerly employed by GTE Sylvania for 35 years and the Town of Camillus Tax Receiver Office for the past 10 years. She was president of the Camillus Elks Ladies Auxiliary. A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, she was also a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed ceramics. An avid bowler, she was the first champion of the Women's Masters of Bowling in Syracuse. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Pat’s husband of 47 years, George E. Schanzle, passed away on April 17, 2009. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jennifer Schanzle of Deerfield Beach, Florida; brother, Frank Legg of Westvale; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, September 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 29 at the funeral home and 10:30 am in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Patricia will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Camillus Elks, P.O. Box 396, Camillus, NY 13031.
