Patricia M. Connell

Patricia M. Connell, of Camillus, went to be with the Lord and her daughters, Barbara Connell Knight (1997) and Susan C. Connell (1985) on Friday, February 11, 2005. The daughter of Joseph Xavier Meehan and Helen Veronica DePaul, she was born in Maplewood, New Jersey and resided in Camillus since 1955. Pat was Vice President of Connell Financial Group LLC in Camillus and previously worked for the EW Edwards and Dey Bros. department stores in Camillus. Pat was an active member of Holy Family Parish in Fairmount, where she taught religious education classes, served as a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Funeral Luncheon Team, the Altar & Rosary Society, and led many Bible Studies. Pat was also a member of the Tuesday Morning Bible Study at the Immanuel Church of the Nazarene in Taunton, the Camillus Business & Professional Womens Club and Tuscarora Golf Club. Pat enjoyed helping others and spending time with her husband, children and their families. Surviving are her husband and best friend of 51 years, James V. Connell, of Camillus; daughter, Karen C. Wheeler of Westvale; son, James V. (Jennifer) Connell, Jr. of Onondaga Hill; granddaughters, Casey and Emily Wheeler, Jordan and Allison Connell, Kate and Haley Knight; grandsons, Zachary Knight and Matthew Connell; sons-in-law, Jerry (Susan) Knight of Maryland and Chris Wheeler of Camillus; sister, Joan M. (Robert) Lockwood of New City; brothers, Joseph X. (Diane) Meehan, of Stamford, Connecticut and Daniel J. (June) Meehan of Convent Station, New Jersey; brother-in-law, John P. (Christine) Connell of Parsippany, New Jersey and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2005 in Holy Family Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Tuesday, February 15, 2005 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, 127 Chapel Dr., Fairmount. Spring burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Contributions may be made to the Patricia M. Connell Memorial Scholarship for Holy Family School, P.O.
