Paul Matthew Sweet

Paul M. Sweet, 56, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a 1978 graduate of West Genesee High School.
Paul was employed with VP Supply Corp. He loved to entertain and also enjoyed antiques, gardening and spending time with his dogs, "the boys, Max and Riley." He was active with Plymouth Congregational Church and was a member of the welcoming committee and the annual arts and crafts festival.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Julia Sweet.
Surviving are his sisters, Maureen (Charles) LoBello and Victoria (Robert Fritzen) Sweet; brothers, Peter, Joe (Felna), Mark and Jeff; his partner, Richard Benz; and all his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul's wishes were to donate his body to SUNY Health Science Center.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 15 at 11 a.m. in Plymouth Congregational Church, 232 East Onondaga St.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Paul's name to CNY SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Mattydale, NY 13211.
