Peter E. Lukeas

Peter E. Lukeas Jr., 61, of Baldwinsville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 19, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania on Thursday, April 20, 1950, he was the son of Peter Lukeas and Marie Klepfer Lukeas. He was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and a graduate of West Genesee High School. Peter was employed by Team Taylor Auto Sales, enjoyed golf and spending time with his grandchildren. He also watched sports and his favorite teams were the Yankees and Giants. Surviving are his son, Nicholas Lukeas; granddaughter, Emily; beloved friend, Linda; stepson, Heath Hurley; and granddaughter, Cadence, all of Florida. He cherished his longtime companion, Nancy Jarvis, her daughter, Char McCartney and granddaughters, Katrina and Kassidy, all of Baldwinsville. Peter is also survived by his sisters, Patt (Carl) Tashjian of Camillus and Jill Stellmack of Liverpool; and niece, Courtney Stellmack of Liverpool. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, February 23 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services and burial will be private.
