Rita (Ennis) Church

Rita (Ennis) Church, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was a 1949 graduate of St. Patrick's High School. Before becoming a stay at home mom, Rita worked for the NY Telephone Co. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church.

Rita was predeceased by her husband, Henry "Hank" in 2011; sister, Marguerite Stapleton; and brothers, John, Thomas and William Ennis.

Surviving are her daughters, Marilyn (Tom) Schneider, Marguerite Church (Tyo), Kathleen (Matt) Oliver and Maureen Church; sons, Michael, Peter (Carmen) and Vincent; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, June 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will be Wednesday, June 13 at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home and 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Rita will be laid to rest in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus.
