Robert F. Kenific

Robert F. Kenific, 85, of Camillus, passed away Saturday. Born in Niagara Falls in 1930, Bob had lived in Camillus since 1971. He was a 1952 graduate of Niagara University. A Navy veteran, Robert served aboard the Destroyer USS Joseph P. Kennedy as a naval officer for more than three years and worked as a salesman with business equipment for over 55 years. He enjoyed skiing, golfing, hunting and boating. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, the former Patricia Ann Shanahan; daughters, Karen (Tim) Scanlon of Brewerton and MaryBeth (Chuck) Moonen of Bradenton, FL; sons, Robert F. (Sindee) of Hillsborough, NJ, Kevin of Harrison, NJ and John (Katie) of Westford, MA; sister, Jean Crowell of Cheektowaga; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, March 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.      A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 23 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Robert will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Church Food Pantry, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219.
