Robert Paul Mills

Robert Paul Mills "Bob", 72, passed away peacefully Monday, May 23, 2016 at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation, surrounded by friends and family. He put up a strong yearlong fight battling lung disease. Bob leaves behind many close friends and family including his brother, Mike (Carol) Mills; daughter, Tracey Mills and her children, Sam and Lola; daughter, Julie Goodelle (Jeff) and their children, Jamie and Emma; and cousins, Ron Monsour, Tom Monsour and Linda McCarthy. Bob grew up in Syracuse attending Nottingham High School. He met many of his lifelong friends while attending St. Bonaventure and then attended Syracuse University to get his graduate degree. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of Bellevue Country Club where he had served on the board of directors for many years. "Millsy" will be remembered for his sense of humor, smile and his love of Amstel Light. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, May 26 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a celebration of his life at Bellevue Country Club.
