Robert T. Ryan Jr.

Robert T. Ryan Jr., 49, of Camillus, died Monday, January 14, 2008 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. Born in Syracuse on Sunday, October 5, 1958, he was the son of Robert Thomas Ryan Sr. and Mary Irene Birchmeyer Ryan. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, Robert attended the US Naval Training Center in Chicago and served in the Navy from 1978-1981. He was a building maintenance engineer for several heating, ventilation and air conditioning firms. Robert's mother, M. Irene Birchmeyer Ryan, died March 2, 2005. Surviving are his father, Robert T. Ryan Sr.; sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Michael Knapp; niece, Heather L. Knapp and nephew, Christopher M. Knapp, all of Camillus. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Holy Family Church where Rev. Jozef Mucha will celebrate a funeral Mass. Friends may call preceding the funeral from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
