Rose Jackemuk Kuzio

Rose Jackemuk Kuzio, 88, a lifetime resident of Lakeland, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born on Wednesday, January 4, 1922, she was the daughter of John Jackemuk and Pauline Gerula Jackemuk. Rose was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church and a member of its Altar & Rosary Society. She was a former member of the Polish Falcons of Auburn and a member of the Lakeland Senior Citizens. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Edward Peter Kuzio, on October 27, 1978; sisters, Anna Rowell, Mary Kowal, Sophie Noga, Helen Kielecki and Katherine Dulian; and brother, John Jackemuk. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Robert Brann of Lakeland; granddaughter, Lillian Brann of SUNY Canton; brother and sister-in-law, Alex and Shirley Jackemuk of Lakeland; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, September 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 10 in Our Lady of Peace Church. Rose will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Syracuse.
